Matt began his career at Disney in April 2004 and over this time he has been involved with many facets of The Walt Disney Company's Risk Management Department. After implementing a new Risk Management Information System, his strength in data analysis allowed him to play an integral role in Disney’s actuarial processes and casualty program renewals. In January of 2006, Matt moved into the Entertainment area of Risk Management where his strategic and management responsibilities have grown. Taking on the role as Director of Entertainment Risk Management in 2015, he and his team are responsible for managing the risks associated with Disney’s film, television, streaming and alternative content production entities worldwide including WD Pictures, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, ABC Studios, FX and others. Matt also oversees Disney’s media, cyber and professional liability insurance programs.
Prior to Disney, Matt worked in Marsh USA’s Pittsburgh office. He started in January 2001 and was dedicated to servicing a large paint, glass and aerospace manufacturer. His role quickly expanded to manage many middle market client accounts in the area of safety and loss prevention. His accounts included healthcare, real estate, home building and a variety of manufacturers. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and holds the Associate in Risk Management designation.
