James Guszcza, FCAS, PhD

Principal
Clear Risk Analytics

Jim Guszcza is a Principal at Clear Risk Analytics and a Research Affiliate at Northwestern University's Center for Advancing Safety in Machine Intelligence. Jim worked as data scientist for two decades and was the first person to be designated Deloitte’s U.S. Chief Data Scientist. In addition to his 20 years at Deloitte, Jim has been a Fellow at Stanford's Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison business school, and data scientist at Allstate's Research and Planning Center. Jim holds a PhD in Philosophy from The University of Chicago, and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
