Sridhar Manyem

Senior Director
AM Best

Sridhar Manyem leads the industry research team and public relations team at A.M. Best covering insurance issues and analysis for P/C, Life/Health, and reinsurance sectors. Sridhar moved to A M Best from The World Bank where he was a Senior Credit Risk Officer responsible for implementing reinsurance credit risk framework at MIGA (Multilateral Investment Guarantee Association)

Prior to the World Bank, Sridhar was a Director at Standard & Poor's responsible for credit risk analysis of a portfolio of insurers in addition to his role as a lead ERM specialist reviewing ERM and ECM frameworks for a portfolio of (re)insurers and multi-line insurers. He has published widely read research on issues related to Property/Casualty, life, and reinsurance sectors and on topical issues including Catastrophe modeling, Terrorism insurance, Cyber risk, Enterprise Risk Management, and Regulations.

Sridhar started his insurance career at Nationwide Insurance's ERM function where his areas of responsibilities included strategic asset allocation, Asset/Liability management, and risk modeling. He has taught basic economics and finance courses at the graduate level and undergraduate level at the Ohio Dominican University and is currently an adjunct professor at Rowan University where he teaches Principles of Insurance and Risk Management

Sridhar graduated with an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and has an undergraduate in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
