Gallagher Re
Stephen is currently a Vice President on the Gallagher Re actuarial team. He joined Gallagher Re (formerly Willis Re) in Chicago, IL in 2018 before recently relocating to Walnut Creek, CA. He conducts actuarial analyses across property and casualty lines of business and advises clients on topics such as reinsurance structure solutions. Stephen has been a leading member of the team responsible for evaluating the impacts of secondary perils such as severe convective storm, winter storm, and wildfire and led the efforts in building GLMs to quantify these impacts.
Prior to joining Willis Re in 2018, Stephen was a Senior Actuarial Analyst for Safepoint Insurance in Tampa, FL. During his four years at Safepoint, his main duties consisted of pricing and product development and rating indication analyses for various homeowners and commercial lines of business. Other responsibilities included cat modeling analyses and pro-forma portfolio analysis.
Stephen graduated from Troy University in Troy, AL with a B.S. in Mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. When not working, he enjoys hiking with his wife and German Shepherd Dog (and sometimes cat), playing basketball, and practicing guitar.
